ILD® – a review.
The company’s first important milestone was at the same time a milestone for our industry: the introduction of our EFVM® standard in 1996. For the first time, there was a better option to the leakage tests and leak detections that had been available until then.
Starting in Germany, ILD®’s leak detection concept was leading throughout the world within just a few years. At the same time, we continuously improved on the original concept, expanding on the scope of operation and compatibility.
The second milestone was reached in 2006: With the help of the newly founded ProtectSys GmbH, the company applied for the patent of another innovative technology for the detection of leaky and damaged flat roof areas. The key function here was a measurement grid made from electrically conductive material that was installed below the waterproofing.
Many well-known industry leaders championed our systems. In 2008, more than 14 million square meters of flat roof had been tested with the help of ILD® technology; a history of success we want to continue. Our latest product ProtectSys® Wireless Monitoring also has the potential of setting international standards.
